Chocolate Weetabix and I am not proving a point!

As of today you can go to Sainsburys and buy Chocolate Weetabix, (£2.59 for a pack of 24) but because Weetabix know that I love Chocolate and Weetabix they sent me a box last week (along with some toys for Top Ender and Baby Boy and some vouchers and a really cool canvas bag that I can add to the ones I take shopping) to try. They did also send me a chocolate spoon and a Chocolate Weetabix bowl, but if Top Ender or Baby Boy asks, the chocolate spoon was quite poisonous and not safe for children okay?!

Weetabix are one of my most favourite cereals and now that Daddy can't eat them (with being Coeliac and all) it means all the more for me. I have in the past eaten the normal ones with chocolate milk instead of normal milk (we ran out of the normal stuff!) and even hot water (you should try that one) but these were something different.

So what did we think of them? Top Ender won't touch the normal ones (despite as a smaller child eating them everyday for breakfast and refusing all else) yet she ate most of my bowl the first morning that I had them. Baby Boy took one look at my bowl, sniffed it a bit and refused to eat even one spoonful. It was only after I had taken a few moments to pay attention to what I had been eating that I realised its plain chocolate in the Weetabix.



I don't do plain chocolate. I actually hate plain chocolate. Plain chocolate is evil.



So Top Ender has been happily munching on the Chocolate Weetabix in the Chocolate Weetabix bowl and she thinks they taste delicious, but she is on her own with that one.



And with regards to proving a point.



Daddy said that I never write any negative reviews. I pointed out that I had said something negative in the review of the Brio Wooden Pull Along Helicopter, but that in general all the things that I have reviewed had been great and if something came to me to be reviewed and I didn't like it I would say so.



So just before Daddy starts saying I did not like these Chocolate Weetabix just to prove a point, I really, really, really don't like plain chocolate; but I will continue to eat normal Weetabix with chocolate milk on.

Dance on Broadway for the Wii

I love our Wii and I love Musicals so when I saw the game Dance On Broadway for the Wii I knew that I had to have it. Luckily I must have done something that meant that Daddy was thinking I also needed a treat and he bought it for me!

We decided that today after lunch would be a good time to play it and as I was taking my time to get back into the living room Daddy and Top Ender started without me. They were going through the songs deciding which ones would be best for them to dance to and decided upon "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" from Mary Poppins.

I arrived in the living room just in time to see them exhausting themselves dancing along with the Wii, by dancing badly. Top Ender got the highest score and declared herself to have won and that it was now my turn to join in. As all you need to dance is a Wii remote for each player, I was soon clicking on the character I wanted to dance as, and before I knew it we were dancing to "Time Warp" from The Rocky Horror Show.

Top Ender won again and I came a close second but it was at a price as both Daddy and I were exhausted!

We went through a few more songs and each time Top Ender won. Although I did redeem myself on "Bend & Snap" from Legally Blonde with a very high score and the sweat dripping off me as a prize.* 

Daddy however wasn't going to give up without a fight and kept repeating;

"Just once more!"

Eventually he got his victory with a score higher than both Top Ender and I had reached, immediately declared himself the family champion and retired from competitive dancing. Yes, he's a cheat.

There are a lot of songs on the game (all of which I recognised and was able to sing along with) and they range in effort needed and difficulty. I did work up a good sweat and my first thoughts that this game wasn't any good because both Top Ender and Daddy didn't seem to be doing well, were wrong and I love this game. I am going to add this to my exercise routine and hopefully dance my way to skinny!

The recommended retail price is £29.99, but you can buy it for less in a lot of places! I was not paid or asked to review this, but we had so much fun that I just wanted to share it with you all!

This time last week

This time last week I wasn't here.



I missed the School fete, where Top Ender and Baby Boy decorated biscuits,

I missed seeing what goodies were won on the children's Tombola,

I missed going to the park, (Yes Top Ender had an outfit change)

But I did have a really great time at CyberMummy so I think that it all balances out in the end.

A Burned arm and a bandaged Frog

When we went to the lovely John Lewis event Baby Boy accidentally burned his arm on a light that was up-lighting a display. It wasn't anyone's fault, nobody was to blame it was just one of those things. By the time we were on the train home there were some blisters forming and his arm had gone bright red around the burnt area.

Baby Boy was asleep in the pram, so I cooled down the area and called Daddy, because I knew that there was something that I was supposed to do but just could remember what it was. Even Daddy couldn't remember and so lovely NHS Direct came to the rescue. We were advised to go to our Doctors to see a Practice Nurse, but as we couldn't get an appointment until just before the end of surgery we opted to go to the local walk in centre.

I have used the walk in centre a few times in the past and know it can be busy, but we had been told on the phone that there wasn't many people about and so it was a good time to visit. We waited for about three minutes to be seen by a Nurse who then applied a special bandage to Baby Boys arm, after checking it over.

Baby Boy didn't like the bandage being put on and shouted;

"HELP! HELP ME!"

so much so that a second Nurse stuck her head round the door, just to check what was going on!

We decided that what we would need to do was to all have a bandage on so that Baby Boy would leave his bandage alone. We went and got Baby Boys favourite cuddly toy Freddie the Frog who Baby Boy decided didn't need a bandage on his arm, but actually all over his head.

John Lewis Christmas Preview, A Mothers Ramblings Style!

When I was asked the other week if I would like to go to the John Lewis Christmas preview show in July I was really really excited and of course said yes; Anything to do with Christmas will get me excited and have me answering Yes (read in to that what you will!). When Top Ender found out that it was going to be Christmas in July she asked if she could come too which is why Top Ender, Baby Boy and I all went to London for the day.

We managed to keep some commuters amused in the morning with Top Enders excitement;

"Will Santa be there?" she asked
"No I don't think so, he is probably rather busy at the North Pole right now" I answered
"Maybe he is on holiday in London" she answered more knowingly than me

We knew we were in the right place when we saw a snow machine outside of the building and a Christmas tree just inside the door.

Even though we were really early we were welcomed in and then I was handed a Flip camera.

Yeah. I know.

I assumed at the time (and lots of other people told me they thought the same too) that the camera was to give the team at John Lewis our view of the day, but no it was for us to keep. Top Ender had a field day and was filming EVERYTHING. Anyway eventually I got to see round all the lovely fab stuff that John Lewis will be getting in after Clearance and during late August, early September.

So Top Ender and Baby Boy got to watch 3D TV whilst sitting on a sofa that was the so comfy that I did think about stealing it out of the front door whilst getting some other Bloggers to create a diversion. The other Bloggers were up for it, but I just could face taking the sofa on the Tube.

I got to see round all the new ranges that are coming in, I remembered that Diesel is bringing new Denim into John Lewis and that Russian Military is going to be big this winter, and if anybody needs an Evening Gown there are going to be some great choices in John Lewis this year! There was a nightie that I did think was an Evening Gown, (honestly though if I did the school run in that people would be asking me when I won the Lottery!) and there were Doc Martin Boots that will be on my Christmas list (I would like the ones with the sheep fleece lining please!). There were some fantastic Men's PJ's and some great slippers in really vibrant colours and some really nice suits, one of which convinced me that Doctor Who shops in John Lewis.

There were some beautiful bedspreads and furniture (did you know that John Lewis have items that can be customised for you? Yup, Good old John Lewis does bespoke furniture!) that was making me think about starting to play the lottery in order to get a bigger house to keep it all in! There were several more chairs that I fell in love with and cushions galore. If you want to update your rooms this year, but want to do it on a small scale change the cushions, find some in John Lewis as there are a lot to choose from!

I was able to see lots of the Christmas decorations range where there is something for everyone! There are a lot of vibrant jewel colours and a lot of Scandinavian inspired type decorations and the cutest wooden cut words (Peace, Joy and Noel) in a light wood which will be on sale between £12 and £15 and will be something I invest in this year.

The best part of course was upstairs (where I had deposited Baby Boy and Top Ender with some friendly staff) where there were Children's clothes and Toys. Top Ender and Baby Boy thought it fabulous and had made cupcakes, cards, played with Play-Doh and Top Ender had even made a headband and had her face painted by the time I got back to them!

The train journey home was spent by Top Ender and I talking about the amazing time we had spent with John Lewis and Cohn And Wolfe (Baby Boy was crashed out in his buggy) and what we wanted for Christmas much to the amusement of the other commuters again!

So I know that I talk about Christmas all year round, but if you want to get a jump on this years Christmas Shopping, get to a John Lewis Store at the end of the Summer!
